Thomas Fortson Jr. 5-1-1742 to 2-15 1824. Joined the Army of the Revolution in 5-24-1780 and served as a lieutenant in Captain Edward Shackleford’s Company. No information on his wife

Benjamin Fortson Born 1765 In Virginia. Moved to Elberton County Georgia with his father where he died in 1823 First wife Sally Head died shortly after the move. Married Elizabeth Gaines, the daughter of a Revolutionary Vice Captain

Thomas Fortson 2-12-1802 Elbert County. Married Elmira Kinnebrew 2-9-1821. Three sons and one daughter Died 2-9- 1821 in an accident while driving a team of steers.

Richard Easton Fortson. 11-20-1824, Elberton County Georgia. Moved to Madison County and was a neighbor of Crawford W. Long’s father. He was a Mason. Married to Lucy Jayne Campbell. Served one year in Company C, 16th Georgia Volunteer Infantry at the age of 41. Hospitalized in Virginia with Arthrutiis in his back. His wife was said to ride a mule from Danielsville to Virginia to bring him home.
