Corps of Engineers officials just announced that Lake Lanier is now at full pool. I guess we can't call it the North Georgia Mud Hole anymore.
This is the first time it has been full sense 2005. During the recent dry years, it fell as much as 20 feet below full pool, giving rise to such jokes as the North Georgia Mud Hole and "Pond Lanier"
Now if we can just convince Alabama and Florida to be reasonable in their demands for their share of the water, all will be good.
